SLYSA coaches & team managers,

After reviewing the latest recommendations from the St. Louis Sports Medicine COVID-19 task force and with the current restrictions in St. Louis County and Southern Illinois, we have decided to delay the start of the SLYSA fall 2020 season until September 12th. Schedules for the fall season will be posted on www.slysa.org on August 21st.

This change is an effort to help control the spread of COVID-19. It is critical that we create a safe environment for everyone involved, and that parents/guardians make the best decisions possible for their players. SLYSA encourages all clubs and independent teams to follow social distancing practices and mask recommendations by the CDC and state and local governments.

Despite this brief delay, SLYSA looks forward to the launch of the fall season in September and will be diligently preparing to kick off the season.
